On April 11,2021,"2021 National Orthopaedic VTE prevention,nursing and Management Symposium"was successfully concluded in Guangzhou.
Venous thromboembolism(VTE)is an important cause of complications and death after orthopaedic surgery.Venous thromboembolism(VTE)mainly refers to the abnormal coagulation of body blood in the vein.A venous reflux disorder that causes incomplete or complete obstruction of the venous lumen.Orthopaedic patients have hypercoagulable blood,vascular wall injury and circulatory stasis due to trauma and lower limbs,hip or pelvic surgery and limited activity.This factor is very prone to venous thromboembolism.Therefore,static thromboembolism is a common complication of orthopaedic patients.Its onset is hidden and difficult to detect.It is often found after onset,which is easy to cause great harm to patients.With the increasing aging population in China,the incidence rate of VTE is on the rise.To improve the understanding of the pathogenic factors and clinical characteristics of VTE,to strengthen the nurses"understanding of the severity of VTE,popularize the concept of VTE prevention,improve the quality of medical care,ensure nursing safety,and reduce the incidence,disability and mortality of VTE.
